BIOGRAPHY

Born in Hong Kong, Cybil started ballet at Jean M. Wong School of Ballet at the age of 3. She performed alongside Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra and was awarded The Tsinform C. Wong Memorial Scholarship. She started vocational dance training at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and was the recipient of HKSAR Government Scholarship Fund Reaching Out Award in 2014.


Cybil graduated from Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance in the UK in 2016 with Bachelor of Arts (Hons) under the direction of Ross McKim and Amanda Britton. She worked with different teachers and choreographers and has performed in Mark Baldwin’s “The Creation” and Antonia Franceschi’s “Hear The Stars” in Sadler’s Wells Theatre, London.


She participated in courses and company classes with Joffrey Ballet School, Royal Danish Ballet, Sasha Waltz & Guests, Batsheva Dance Company, Company Wayne McGregor and Ballet Preljocaj. She has also performed in Alvin Ailey’s “Revelation” in Paris, “Crash Rhythm” by Tyler Gilstrap in New York, “Bolero” by Bradley Shelver in Copenhagen and "A Thousand Shepherds" by Jose Agudo in Hong Kong.


Cybil has won the First Place in Contemporary Section at the Hong Kong Ballet Group Stars Award competition 2020. She has also presented her own work “A Piece of Cake” in the Hong Kong International Choreographic Festival 2018 and assisted the creation of “everything that rises must dance” by Sasha Milavic Davies and Lucy Railton in Hong Kong Arts Festival 2019. She has also become a certified yoga teacher (RYT-200hr) with the guidance of Patrick Creealman and Rinat Perlman.
